ABOUT US

PROJECT YOU -

Building a Brighter Future

Project You, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by a single immigrant mother dedicated to empowering her community. We provide professional training to under-served women, men, single parents, immigrants, and minorities through our affiliated schools in NYC, fostering educational and economic advancements.

By partnering with other nonprofits and healthcare agencies, we create employment opportunities and pave the way to financial freedom for our community members. We are proud to support the under-served and vulnerable populations, making a meaningful impact on their lives.

Economic Challenges for Single Mothers in NYC

Single mothers in New York City often face substantial economic challenges, with about 41% employed in low-wage jobs and many struggling with job instability. Additionally, approximately 20.8% of single mothers are unemployed for the entire year.

A Letter from the Founder and CEO

Dear Friends,

Thank you for visiting our site and a warm welcome to our community!

Living in the United States is a privilege, and America stands as a beacon of hope for many. It promotes equality, support, and opportunity for all. However, immigrants often receive little assistance upon arrival, a fact I know from personal experience.

At 25, as an immigrant dealing with personal loss and uncertainty, I found my purpose. Inspired by my struggles and the challenges faced by single mothers, I founded Project You to help them succeed.

As the founder, I am driven to teach self-sufficiency and independence. I believe in the power of education because our most important project is you. We work tirelessly to provide fully funded career certification programs and job placement assistance for single mothers and immigrants through partnerships, donations, and sponsorships.

Our Single Moms Empowerment Program creates real change. Seeing our clients transform fills me with immense joy. No one should feel alone or trapped by financial or language barriers. Project You aims to be the door that’s always open for those in need.

Thank you for supporting Project You and helping keep the real American Dream alive!
